New Website, Winter Training Sessions and a Coaching Addition

We have so many exciting updates for everyone today!  First is the launch of our website!  We've been working hard since our showcase in Philadelphia to get this up and running.  I hope everyone enjoys it!  The travel team pages will be updated as we finalize our tournament schedule for the Spring/Summer, and we will be posting more information for those interested within the next week or so.

Speaking of the travel team, I wanted to make sure that I again thanked everyone who participated with us in the Shooting Star Tournament in Philadelphia over Thanksgiving Weekend.  It was a great weekend of hockey, and surprisingly weather too!

Please thank Mrs. McDonough for all the great pictures featured throughout the website, and our tournament album page here.  There are a ton more available on the Shutterfly website for the players to login and see.

Information is now up about our Winter Training Sessions, and I tried my best to make sure that the sessions did not conflict with any of the Futures Training Sessions in Rochester, Syracuse or the Capital District.  Registration is now open for that, so pass the word along!

I am also very excited to announce that one of my former players and fellow Irondequoit alumni will be joining the coaching staff as our Head U14 Travel Coach and U19 Assistant Coach.  Sarah Greenly was a 3 year Varsity starter at Midfield for Irondequoit, and a Captain and All County Selection her senior year.  She also participated In the USA Futures program and interned with me the previous two modified seasons.  Sarah was an excellent decision maker on the field and understands the game so well; but even more importantly, she does an amazing job of explaining and passing this knowledge on to younger players.  She is going to be a great asset to our program, and I am so excited to have her join us!

Check back often as we are going to have many updates in the next few weeks!  And of course, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to email us at irondequoitfury@gmail.com.  Thanks!
